For motorists in Montana, it is not uncommon to share the road with a variety of other vehicles. It is, however, uncommon to encounter a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Due to distractions, carelessness or intoxication, some negligent drivers may enter a roadway in the wrong direction. This could lead to a serious and even fatal situation for other travelers.

This is what recently occurred in Bozeman. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a three-vehicle crash occurred because of a wrong-way driver. The wrong-way crash occurred on I-90 around 7:30 p.m. Preliminary reports indicated that the wrong-way driver struck one of the other vehicles almost head-on.

According to troopers, injuries were involved in the car crash, but the severity of the injuries is unknown at this time. The car accident is still under investigation, and once complete, authorities should be able to determine the cause and shed some light on possible liability.

Those harmed in a wrong-way crash or any accident caused by a negligent driver have recourses available to them. A motor vehicle collision of this nature can leave an accident victim with serious injuries. This can cause much financial hardship, as the victim will likely require medical treatment. Seeking the assistance of a personal attorney can help those in such situations form a solid plan of legal action. A personal injury claim can help an accident victim hold a negligent driver liable and help them recover compensation for losses and damages suffered. Recovering from such an incident isn’t easy, but you don’t have to navigate the process alone.
